Discovered by Reddit users, it has been said that by just changing the date on an iPhone or an iPad to January 1, 1970 will cause the phone to brick permanently.
On top of that if the device is turned off it will be impossible to switch it back on without sending it to an Apple technician.
Devices that are affected runs iOS 8 or higher. The Guardian reported that Apple is "looking into the bug".
So, please, please, please don't try this! This post is trying to save you time, stress, headaches and possible money.
